What is Radiographic Testing (RT)?

Radiographic Testing (RT) is a non-destructive testing method that utilizes either x-rays or gamma rays to inspect internal structure of the parts for examining flaws or discontinuities. RT has many advantages such as

  • High repeatability

  • Can be used in many materials

  • Can examine assembled components

  • Less surface preparation

  • Inspection results can be permanently stored

  • Direct interpretation
